Clean the surface of the original steering wheel thoroughly and remove the original decorative layers(Our steering wheels are modified from an OEM core steering wheel, allowing for plug and play with no fitment issues.). Use foaming materials or poly putty to fill and shape the steering wheel. Foaming materials can make the steering wheel lighter and softer, conversely, poly putty makes it harder and heavier. Brush glue on the surface of the steering wheel and paste one or two layers of carbon fiber cloth. Spread epoxy resin on the carbon fiber cloth and cure it. Sand and polish the surface to make it smooth after curing. Finally, Sew genuine leather or suede on the grip part of the steering wheel to increase comfort.
Carbon fiber steering wheels are resistant to dust and water as they are mostly plastic. They’re also resistant to corrosion, chemicals, heat, and electricity.
